On My Wishlist

The Aqua Beverly Backpack.

This gorgeous bag has such range when pairing it with outfits.  I imagine trendspotters stopping bikers in the streets sporting this bag with anything from a 70's inspired khaki pantsuit to a classically academic corduroy jacket with elbow patches.  It's subtle and complimentary.  I would love it forever.  And at $175, it's an actual attainable little gem.  Happy fall shopping.

The Sartorialist thought this was Preen's best garment.  I think this dress wins in total, New York Fashion Week's Most Beautiful award.

Spring is Coming

Combing trends the right way takes some thought.  Here I began with a floral peach dress saturated in cream and purple accents from Mod Cloth.  With it, I paired Guiseppe Zanotti cream studded shoes, a matching Rebecca Minkoff bag and tied the two together with some Giles and Brother gold bangles.  Then I topped it off with a fantastic pair of purple Maribella Oliver Peoples sunnies and off you go to rule the Spring!

NO.

You simply cannot combine the elements of a classic Chanel suit with the futuristic tendencies of Lady Gaga.  Shimmer leggings?  Silver peep-toe platforms?  Funky bun-hair with oversized bow?  Raw silk suit?  Does not compute.  Does not compute.  Hardrive overload.

This is not couture.  This is trying to combine classic with trendy and failing.

You disappoint me, sir.  I'll go cry in a corner now.

Motorcycle Madness

I was fortunate enough to try it on at the Alexander McQueen store in Las Vegas.  The glove fits perfectly and it detaches from the bag by snaps.  It's my dream bag at the moment.  Anyone spare $875?

Getting Ready for Spring

Florals - I'm finally on the bandwaggon and thanks to urban outfitters and their fantastic sale/cheap accessories, I've added two new flowery fabulosities to my wardrobe to prove it.

I bought myself some hipster/ray-ban-esque sunglasses.  They were $10.

This photo is from Mod Cloth because the dress is likely sold out from Urban's sale (I found the last one in the store and it was marked down to $29.99 from $128!).  Looks like it's sold out from Mod Cloth as well, but fear not, if you like it you can add yourself to the mailing list for when they re-stock.  I'm vacationing in Costa Rica in March, so this little number looks like it will come in handy.

Word of caution: I have no intention of wearing these two items together.  Neither should you.  One floral at a time, people.  One floral at a time.
